My Time or Melancholy

Contributed by Man_On_High on Sunday, 8th May 2005 @ 07:24:22 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

In my time or melancholy
smothered in the quiet night,
when all I see is moonlight cast
faded pale blue
and we all lie still
in the glory of grief,
I create by the mourning shine-
not for others and their charm
but for the price I pay
for all my soul and heart.

In the absence of identity
from this mourning shine I create,
not for the passed who loom
with memories all our own
but for all who lie still
in the dolor of the story,
created...
in my time or melancholy

Well .. I am so pleased to have come to this, on this morning out of all others..

I have tried [in vain] to explain my need, (because most assuredly it is a need],
to put pen to paper. In fact, this very day, was such a day. You have expressed
what I could not, (at least not as adequately).

I'm not overly fond of paraphrasing, (especially your work, as the whole of it is
so splendid), but these lines..

"not for others and their charm
but for the price I pay
for all my soul and heart."

That, dearest is so completely real and that is what makes your writes such a
banquet of thought for your readers. Touching and moving hearts to a point of
wondering .. is this me from whom these emotions appear, or the poet's word?
I think it is a bit of both .. you have this impossible ability to elicit emotions from
your readers that lie dormant and unchanged in a time forgot. I so admire that.

and this ..

"but for all who lie still
in the dolor of the story,
created...
in my time or melancholy"

that is so completely profound, I feel even mentioning it, somehow negates the depth,
as surely, it goes without saying. But, oh, how that particular passage moved me. As
if your very own heart grabbed hold of mine and caressed it into an understanding ..

the finest piece of brilliance I've read today ..

~Breezy
