From the body comes the things that please
a generation into making the next,
from hushed whispers come the the cries for ---.
Being male is being in a frame
of mind that's as uncivil as it is unkind
to want what you can't tame,
to hold what doesn't retain
its feeling the next time around.
The embodiment of all desire,
lies to me with alluring eyes
as she lies in bed with other tries
that got it right just this once,
who got what they wanted,
just this once.
She is not the burning fire.
She is not the lusty librarien
looking for cheap thrills in a cheap room
before the moon sets from the roosters croon,
with no strings or phone calls later.
She is not the manequin lay,
thoughtless on the following day
about the way you were last night.
More than the absent idle wants,
she's the fantasies that you forgot.
Better than the placeholder in front of her name,
her grace is the face bolder in steeped light,
breaking the breakers of poetic waves,
breaching the ideals of Cosmo babes,
more than I need, more than I want,
more than the definition she chooses to wear,
like the bow she weaves through the back of her hair.
She is the thought that has never began,
has never ended,
she is not just a girl,
but a girl transcended. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 169 [topic] => 43 [informant] => CodyJ [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I like this write, it makes me feel like I'm just scratching the surface of something odd yet spectacular...."To want what you can't tame, to hold what doesn't retain..." Nice, very nice.
