But hers is locked in the past
The sun rises, the sun sets
Neither helps her move on

Watching the sun rise
A new day has begun
But her hand still holds the gun
As the sun rises

Staring at the sun set
Another day has ended
Just wishing her life she could’ve ended
Watching the sun slowly set

The sun rises yet again
She gets out of bed
Tries to go unfed
Watching the sun rise yet again

The sun sets into its bed for the night
Still wanting to end this long-lasting strife
Still holding the knife
Watches the sun set and says good night

Next morning at sunrise, the sun comes up
This girl is beating herself with her hands
Following all her body’s commands
Watching the sun climb up

The evening that follows, the sun sets
The girl is finally dead
They lay her into the bed
As the sun sets

The next morning, the sun rises
The day still moves on
Even though the girl is dead
But the sun still sets and it still rises

Wow, that was really moving, the painful life of the girl against the backdrop of the progress of time. I can only hope that this was not how it really ended.
