I lend you my eyes... (Another musically inspired piece) [bodytext] => Borrow my eyes, rip them out of my worthless skull,
Stuff them in your depthless sockets,
Blind one, you shall see what I see…

Visions of the Fallen,
Broken and dying, beneath Life’s ruthless fists,
Jagged claws of the hungry and deprived,
All around you,
Yearning for the touch of Hope,
There is none in you…

Take a stroll down my desolate road,
Relish the happiness while it’s present,
She’s a slippery *****, and doesn’t stay for long…
Savor every caress of love,
Consider yourself lucky, for she is blind,
And only by chance were you chosen…

Cherish moments of pride and acceptance,
From the one called Father,
So long ago, since I last felt I made him proud…
Weary traveler, crawl the last mile,
There are only 16,
And it doesn’t look like there’ll be anymore…

Surprised, are you?
I hear your jaw shattering…
Shocked that a child could endure such a beating?
I taste your tears of salty sympathy and horror…
I am no mere youth,
Don’t let my naïve features fool you…
I am you, you are me,
We are all one in the same,
Of beautiful blood and diseased flesh,
Yet, our minds are of a different realm…

Do you see now? Through these liquid amber eyes?
The horrid illusions of life and people within it?
Perishing, insanity eating away inside,
Decaying in front of your borrowed eyes,
Drown in it all, the despair, the impurity, the death…

You have seen all that I wanted you to perceive,
Etched in your mind, knowledge of the world,
Seared into your flesh, mark of the Tainted…

Tearing your eyes out, my eyes,
Attempts to claw away the images,
All in vain…

Never again… will you be blind…

Gloriously dark, Stephy. I do believe my eyes have seen enough today to last me a while, exploring onto unseen paths where a gate was left open... However, those were different scenes than the one you have so plainly painted here. Lovely work. You have so much talent! *hugs* J.
