[bodytext] => In this very line that you now read I can quickly catch you up to speed I have just talked about love, money and sex Being born, feeling alone, you now know the rest In a stanza or two, I could capture the heavens In a verse or three, I can describe for you eternity This funky tune is alive, I saw it groove and jive In the blink of one brown eye, I sold you a expensive deadly lie I would create for you the vision of my ancestors But, how does one encapsulate the true spirit of his predecessors Writing about them begins to hurt, these words are ironically fighting back I can’t do the reader very much justice in this condition, so I foolishly attack The poems of our fathers ring true at last An original flow and theory moving smoothly past The writers of the heavens fear no mortal pen The ink they dip is the blood of the Holy man A sonnet so perfect, melodic, so easy on the ear A message with a purpose, a neurotic, nothing to fear Their ideas were prolific with revolutionary undertones Minds so brilliant, writing turns to scripture, no longer just poems For inspiration, I personally look to the stars An intoxication of infinite possible ways to starts The endings are elusive and maliciously hard to find Don’t look back now, but that there, was mine [comments] => 2 [counter] => 202 [topic] => 43 [informant] => jyssvw22 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
