My long, white, snowy blonde hair.
Emerald green orbs that are my eyes,
Giving me the quality of an angel.
Delicate, flexible limbs.
So full of strength they are:
Unmovable and unbreakable.
Wondrous, wicked, devilish smile,
Completing my flawless face.
Even my most favored attribute:
The twin white daggers glittering in my mouth
Are most beautiful and perfect.
Pearl is the color of my skin,
And cold as ice.
Smooth as a baby,
Yet hard as diamond.
I am a god of beauty
And all who gaze upon me are completely
Incapable of looking away.
This is often how I trap my victims,
Although, nothing is required to sustain me any longer.
Not even the sweet, succulent blood that I still
Love to drink is required to keep me alive.
I have aged too much to have to depend on that any longer.
(The only thing that it now does, besides satiate my cravings,
Is to put my senses at their peak of performance.)
Not even the light of the sun can destroy me anymore.
I have tried it, just to see what it would do.
I got a tan; that and a large amount of pain.
For many weeks I could not even move a muscle.
But I was alive.
That was two hundred years ago,
The darkened skin long gone.

For three millennia I have endured, watching mankind
Advance their technology, and their way of living.
And through all this I have endured, slipping in and out
Of society as a shadow in the night, only being discovered by those
That I wish to be discovered by (and, of course, my victims,
But they do not live long enough to tell anyone of my existence.)

I am a creature of the night. Always living in solitude from
Everyone else, including my immortal brethren,
Except for the times when I need something from them,
Then they are only too willing to come to my aid.

I will always be here, watching and waiting.
Waiting for what, I do not know.
But I tell you this here and now:
No one holds command over me.
No man. No God. No Prince.
And anyone who dares to cross
My path will surely meet their demise.
But, please, give me some action.
Call your damnable hunt.
If for some reason I am captured,
We shall see whom I drag
Screaming to hell with me. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 182 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Zeldianus [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )
