I close my eyes and drift away into a dream
To foresee the future so it may seem

The Angel of Foresight visits me and this is what he chanted:

“Tonight with the gift of foresight you have been granted”

He lifts away my soul to an untold faraway place
Where I am to envision my destiny and fate to embrace

I see myself upon the pillow with pills beside my bed
Looks like I am only sleeping but no I am dead

My hands are drenched in blood as the fierce knife I hold
Sliced cuts upon my arm familiar with a pain so old

On the floor is where my reluctant suicide note does lie
Marked with tears and my sorrowful goodbye

My eyes are closed and I am at one with peace
Finally free from any sorrow I have gained release

This is how ends my long trial
Upon waking I happily smile

Great write---this is the kind of poem I really like....no-holds barred, not sugar-coated, just served raw and full of detail. Very good!
