I'll admit that I cried
but nothing inside me has died
even if I loved you right from the start

As of late I could feel myself growing weary
though it doesn't ease the shock as my eyes are teary
I can't believe what you said
wish it was all in my head
but from on I'll know to be more leery

How you could hurt me I can't even concieve,
that love is painful is so hard to believe
too good to be true
now I've seen you for you
and I guess in the end one of us had to leave

Thank you for everything you've given me though
Forever our memories will always be so
but now I have to be strong
and find a way to move on
to be true to myself now is all I owe

I think we were too different to make it last
brought up differently and changed by the past
the world we live in
won't always let love win

Worst things happen than a broken heart,
than two fates designed to be lived apart
I'll admit that I cried

I absolutely love it!! Be sure to let me know when you post new ones. I really enjoy reading your stuff too! The rhyming was perfect and the emotions were captured in a beautiful way.
