"AN OPEN LETTER TO STITCH"

My dear friend, confidante, and loyal ally, I've never
seen you dear Stitch, only with my mind's eye, Yet,
I know you very well, dear friend. The letters you write,
the lovely poems you have penned. Each word, each theme,
told me a little more about your character. You are a devoted
wife, mother, and editor. You have a handsome son,
and loving daughter. A caring husband and father, sharer
with you of laughter.

Remembering the first time I commented on your poem site,
Your poetry was so unique, and exceptional. I found you
were polite. I could not understand your deep thoughts,
I lacked the insight. "Do I dare ask this wonderful poetess
to explain?" I bit the bullet and did the same. You were not
offended, but graciously kind. You could have declined,
but you explained as best you could. That told me how humble
you were. Honest, sincere, willing to help, You were truly
genuine, not an actor.

Soon your spiritual side began to appear. You
never once denied your relationship with Christ. Boldly,
you confessed to all of us your love for Him, without fear.
That endeared me to you and our relationship even more.
Our lively discussions, your faith galore. Steadfastness, and
strong, no one could ignore. This part of our friendship
I've found refreshing, and sincere.

And now another chapter in your meaningful life.
Giving more time and devotion to your family
will relieve you of much strife. I can certainly
emphasize with you, for I too, walked that road.
A working mother with children, 'tis a heavy load.
I've listed all of your fine characteristics, dear,
because it shows your worth, and how much
we are going to miss not having you here!

Someday, Stitch, when your nest is empty, and
you are older like me, sit at your desk, and pen
your masterpieces please. You'll be retired then,
on a beautiful white sanded beach, with a clear
mind, and few worries. Before I close let me say
I'll always be thankful for all your many kindnesses,
May our Loving Heavenly Father continue to
bless you, and yours, with His many good nesses.
Warm Love,
ConSue

miss you, Stitch.

Very well done mom.
I really don't know why so many are leaving but it's really sad.
When Mick gets back he's gonna be *****.
If there's someone out there spreading hate and discontent sooner or later they will be caught up with.
Yes she will certainly be missed.
good job mom.
luv, huggs,
yobrat,
emy

I miss her too, ConSue. : (
Though, I do respect her decision to step away from YPDC... goodness knows - there is life beyond the screen (as you clearly know) and it deserves our attention.

This is a lovely tribute to a wonderful poet and friend. Nicely done, ConSue!

*hugs for you and Stitchy*

I can understand and relate to "needing time away" from this site, it becomes an addiction of sorts, but Stitch will return again and be the regular poetess of great muses as she always was/is. She is an uplifted spirit who wanders this great earth and I am glad to have known this joyous spirit!
(((((((((Stitch)))))))) You will be sorely missed!
And MOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!! This is as exquisite a write as is the woman behind the pen! Such love and compassion, as always for your "kids" (((((((ms. con sue))))))))
Angel always! JONI 0:-)

Hil ConSue!
This sure is a very beautiful and touching Open Letter to a very deserved good friend of long standing.
Kudos for it.
I have met the lady on the occasion of a comment quite a while ago. I told her at that time tjat her name "Stich" reminded me of "embroidery" - the German word for stick, Cannot help but thinkl of it. :) :)
But that is all.
So whe will appreciate your beautiful tribute.
Be blessed.
Blessed all those that pay tribute
Paying tribute always makes the spine supple.
Warm love
Elizabeth
