painless is the burns on my arms
i cannot feel them or the harm
blister and meld my flesh to bone
i do not feel it though i am alone
to tired to feel the marks on my body
i have no feeling they are not hot to me
unaware to the bleeding sensatrion
no wraith to this great frustration
when will i feel this terrible pain
is that a loss or a premature gain
a will to kill to feel what is real
being killed to feel the real
What is Real?

a very dark, graphic write that provokes thought. A very strong issue wrapped in a tight rhyming structure makes this poem great. keep up the good work. |
