A kick in the face
and this is how you greeted me in my living space
You threw me on the floor and smacked me about
you're shouting in my face, then things start to fade out
What did I do in life to deserve all this?
Abruptly woken from a dream of an unknown bliss
my friends hear my cries of protest but they don't know what to do
I wake up to a nightmare; please god, say it ain't true
You're kissing and choking me all in one breath
and what comes next? No,please! I'd rather have death
You stole something from me in that vicious attack
and no matter how hard I try, I can never get back
You intimidated me into a silence so obscure
that now 11 years later, I find myself taking this mental detour
The veil has been lifted, the pain is now done
as I walk from my self imposed prison I start to reflect;
on a lost little girl so full of regret. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 456 [topic] => 39 [informant] => hauntedscorp [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 45 [ratings] => 9 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

Heavy stuff you've written here. When you clean out the closest, you're pretty thorough. Description was high, and so was being able to so easily drop me into the scenarios you've delivered here with great skill. This was a feat in itself, and I'm glad you've made more space for yourself, which is always a positive thing : ) Nice write.

I guess I have the advantage of starting from one of your later writes, that gives me a bit more insight to what went on through this time period. I feel remorse for what has been lost and can certainly not blame you, your feelings for this individual. I hope that with the pain subsided ... the poetry helps to further heal the scars.

Really, Timotheus, that's all you could say?

Duh-am!!!! This tore at my heart and ripped at my stomach! Seriously, it was literally gut wrenching!!! I wanted to cry for the victim and beat the ***** out of the attacker all at the same time!

Very powerful indeed.

WTF, why would anyone do this to another human being?!? You have presented some very hurtful experiences very well here. I hurt with you and for you. I know what it means to lose innocence, albeit not in such a violent manner. Sexual abuse is intolerable. I am glad you are finding a way to overcome.
