Array ( [sid] => 93059 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Roses of Hope [time] => 2005-05-02 17:51:45 [hometext] => I've had this rose bush in my backyard for the longest time... and never has it bloomed one flower... not one... And just recently, I glimpsed out my window, and saw 4 gorgeous roses.. I took that as a sign... [bodytext] => A pool of thorns and dead leaves,
Deprived of a caring gardener,
Cries of replenishment neglected,
A useless bush that did not bloom...

My memory fails me,
I know not when I last looked upon it,
Yet, something provoked me to gaze out my window today,
And there they were...

Four gorgeous roses,
A shade of red that no eyes have ever seen,
Leaves of the greenest pastures,
A splendor... that struck me so mercilessly,
Tears sprung to my eyes,
A sense of spiritual renewal consumed me,
That I feared to even take in a breath,
So as not to ruin the moment...

How many moons has it been,
Since a crimson bud has come out of hiding,
And bloomed, showed it's infinite scarlet beauty to the world?

How many scorching days has it endured,
Withuot rain, nor a generous drop of water,
From my own home?

Too long... too long have I not cared for it,
Believing it to be decayed,
Leaving only a skeleton of dry branches and weeds...
Worthless...

Yet, see how it has flourished!
My roses of Hope,
Signs that, through it all,
There will be a new beginning...

A lovely rose with petals soft
A scent so sweet and light
So beautiful a flower
With colors shining bright.

This was so uplifting Steph and the message here is beautiful. Hope springs eternal from a rose.

Love Angelxxxx

Sometimes when you least expect it ... Hope comes beaming through ... and screams out from within the most obvious of places. I'm sure that they were there for you, Steph ... I'm sure of it.

Beautiful poetry and an incredible message.
