So, the time has come
I know it's just right
Too much, too fast, too soon
I've lost the will to fight

Some people've got skill sets
to see them thru each day
but I'm clearly not one of them
Too much, blows me away

Every little crumb that comes
like a mountain to me
Challenges so overwhelm
panic telling me to flee

Run away! I have to go!
Nothing I do matters!
My heart's been torn apart
My spirit lies in tatters

Crowded by so many
yet a life so solitary
How many days would pass
before anyone missed me

Nobody really cares
though all I do is give
It's such a one way street
an empty way to live

My reflection accuses me
telling me what I know
I screwed up so many times
it's really time to go

I've run out of gas
and so this poem is done
finally, the fight has passed
again the world has won

Goodbye...

Goodbye...

oh gosh, i am praying to god that this is only writing and that you arent going to take any actual action on these horrible feelings that dwell so deep inside. believe it or not, tons of people would miss you, tons of people care, me included. great poem though. you captured the feeling well.
desperately,
jennie*
