They saw you as someone you were not
They told me a lie
They have done that a lot

They thought you were someone else
Trusting them is a mistake
Of course, trusting you was a mistake, too
A risk I don’t like to take

I saw you as someone I could trust
But you fooled me and my eyes
You said you were my friend- but you lied
My eyes believed you, though, and told me lies

I thought I could trust you
I saw you as a friend
But I guess we just have to
Say goodbye in the end

I wish we didn’t
I wish my eyes
Didn’t see you like that
I wish they didn’t lie

No one should trust their eyes
They all just tell lies

youre a great writer sprinter27. i never knew it but you were hiding a great wonderous talent. i knew there was something more to you than what meets the eye... for eyes tell but more lies according to your poem right? wow well great job. i hate liars, although i am guilty of lying myself, but who isnt? show me someone who says theyve never lied and ill show you, well, a liar.

I'm sorry you were hurt like that. It makes me want to give you a hug. I do feel your pain.
