Array ( [sid] => 92316 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I'm sorry [time] => 2005-04-26 12:49:49 [hometext] => On the 20th of April I was in a car accident...the boy who hit me died [bodytext] => Phone in hand laughing at something stupid
Off in a world of me and mine own
Always safe at night on this road
danger and death wait at the corner

I was on my way to getting some
never dreamed it would happen

I saw this car lose control
I slammed on my breaks
not knowing what to do
I sat and prayed
it only took a second

I remember saying *****
closing my eyes so very tight
I don't recall anything
but your little red car

I jumped out before the car stopped moving
I don't even know how i got the seat belt undone
I sat on the ground with people all around
I kept asking if you were okay
I never got an answer

After I few hours I asked the cop
He said
"He didn't make it, he died on impact."
My heart stop beating as my body hit the road
I tried to look at his car but they all stoped me

I still don't understand why he left
Why i got to walk away with a few
scraps and bumps

its hard to wonder why this
and why that
but I do know that i will never
forget
seeing you being pulled from
the tangled metal
only 17
didn't even get to graduate

I'm sorry for his family
his friends
his life he'll never live
and i'm sorry I was there
for his car to hit mine

I pray for him everytime i think of that night
I pray for his family
And I ask why him...why not me? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 259 [topic] => 50 [informant] => ravenrain [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ApologyPoetry )

i think this is great the way it is, this must have been hard for you to write, you reveal it as it happened and the emotions of the incident really come thru, something like this is never easy to deal with, my prayers go out to you

... in words electrique
