[title] => Man's Best Friend
[time] => 2005-04-23 01:31:53
[hometext] => I wrote this poem today about my beloved horse, she had escaped her paddock and was struck by a car in the early morning.
[bodytext] => Some say that dog is man's best friend, to some that may be true. But those folks have probly never rode a horse, one that's strong and true. I have owned many horses, and I loved them one and all. But today my heart is broken, before dawn I got the call. The news received was tragic, I could not fathom many things much worse. I was 1,000 miles away and could not say goodbye to my beloved horse. But now she's roaming pastures, which for eternity are always green and sweet. And when I cross over Jordan, she can carry me down those golden streets. I know God made all creatures, for man to reign o'er from birth til their end. But He most certainly got it right, for us with horses as our best friends.
