and the immortal intelligence people thought had vanished,
meeting people that abhore me is sad and eternally inevitable,
just because of my blood people think I have problems phonetical,
my intelligence was earned from countless years of study and practice,
they consider me different because my first language is spanish,
I like the same things everyone else does-why am I still an outcast?,
Im not a plumber or roofer-thats not what we're all about man,
I was born an american but I was often told to become a mechanic,
spilled so much blood and sweat for you-it drips down like molasses,
I did everything humanly posssible to not get treated like an insect,
so how come no matter what I do-theres always some disrespect,
being raised in a city where people say "hello with actuall acknowledgement,
lets me know I am human and trying to be happy as my only prerogative,
in the end-we are all the same-blood is thickest when coagulated,
I am just trying to be the same as you...
with racial emancipation... [comments] => 2 [counter] => 180 [topic] => 48 [informant] => dvsnme816 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Aww Alex I feel ur pain and anguish my dear friend. I don't care what colour, what race, what nationality u r. You're one of the most amazing and most intelligent people I've ever met. You're always number one in my book.
Hugs,
~Sue~

You did a good job. I wrote a poem about the same thing called equality which is based on the persecutions of others. i have a great respect for you and your words.
