money, that also says “In God We Trust”
standardized testing stupefies
while funding for the arts is fornicated
and further mention of faith is forbidden
Denial always denotes a problem
differentiate the problem as belief
believe that all things can change
then deny that they will ever need to

Tough question and tougher statements.
You address a viewpoint that I'm not sure I could even present with any clarity. I admire your ability here!
To answer the question...No, they would be diffrent.....now let me pose a question to you...would they be better? |

Well now... here is most certainly something!
I particularly like the first two stanzas. I could spend a couple hours discussing just those two, I think. If you had already pulled me in... you most certainly would have with the concluding line of the second stanza. My, yes.
Thought provoking, indeed. And... frankly, frustrating. Fortunately... there are things like sunsets and thunderstorms and children's laughter and... poetry -- that can instaneoously convert one's thoughts to thinking that the world is indeed a wonderful place.

I always learn so much from you Naz, and when you compliment my poetry, I feel so bless, which by the way is another poem.
Have you noticed how very few people have true feelings anymore.....I mean such as crying, Did you know Naz that the majority of people in our society today think it's not the right thing to do........CRY!!!! Another encouraging thing to assist us in thinking we shouldn't FEEL our feelings today!
I loved your comment about religions today.

Belief and denial. Two very important words. It seems each generation leaves behind new problems to solve in addition to the problems that came before. The solutions come, but much more slowly than the increase in problems. No wonder we're overwhelmed!
