as I was told
But life is no better
my heart is still cold

Longing for contact
with a woman so sweet
In so populous a world
we'll never meet

They say someone's out there
don't give up and be ready
They assume that I'm so
normal and not so unsteady

Seven years since I've been kissed
a meaningful one longer
What they say about absence
does not make me stronger

Once in a while I do see her
Beauty beyond measure
The sparrow was right
there's all kind of treasure

Incoherency stumbles out
I'm so totally flushed
With the gal of my dreams
I feel so totally rushed

Not without surprise she
strides purposefully away
Another failed attempt
marked on calendar today

They say someone's out there
you expect me to believe
of this cold, callous world
I am ready to leave

great poem i loved it... except i havent ever had nething ever, i have never experienced a love that went both ways. hell ive never even been kissed once. ppl say its better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all... i disagree. love hurts, its the plain truth. i think with love comes pain, like a package deal. to get the good you've got to overcome the bad. i dont know, its just how i see it. but what do i know, i havent lived long enough to have such wisdom. but i loved the poem... great work.

You made the right decision, JC....and someday...you'll meet the girl of you dreams...(one who is available) :>)
Who knows..you may have already met her and not know it....
