Reading the most wonderful ode

Finally reaching two different directions

The road now divided into two different sections

Which path do I take?

While making my decision, I begin to shake

I look far down the first choice

Hearing a sweet, sweet voice

Seeing sunshine and flowers

Finding myself staring down this path for hours, and hours

Birds chirping and sweet melodies I do hear

Just as I find my conclusion is near

I look down the next route

All melodies and songs mute

The path is straight, not a slight bend

I see darkness, nothing but a dim light at the very end

I think hard for a moment, my mind I did lose

No sweet song, no beautiful flowers…and yet, this is the path I choose

Curiosity swallowed me whole,

Just then, I lost my soul

This caused me to travel the path that no one should ever travel

A path filled with jagged rocks and sharp gravel

I feel blood pouring from my feet as I walk over the jagged rock ground

Not a soul to be found,

Just complete darkness and pains in my feet

Blood provides warmth so sweet

I took the path to find the dim light

I’m dying now, of a dreadful fright

As I traveled closer and closer to my destination at the end of the lane

My knees give out; my feet are in a pulsating pain

Finally reached the dim light so pale

Slowly beating heart begins to fail

Realizing that it was false light

And then, I began to fall

It was a little bit of hope at the end of my life’s plea

Yet it was only a stream of moonlight, shown through the trees

Why didn’t I take the better path?

Instead I chose an evil life’s wrath

Why did I choose to follow my curiosity?

To myself I was an atrocity

I found that nightmares I fear

Became a reality, and I shed a single tear

I feel that day,

I chose the wrong way

And now I’m stuck

Totally out of luck

On my way down hill,

With no life, no will

I wish I could have made the right choice

But I’m left with no voice

So, think of this when you travel your own way

Causes know this now, you will some day…
