In the blink of an eye
Leaves me with questions
Because I don’t know why

The timer is set
With no hope in sight
And for all this pain
My heart bleeds in the night

I still remember
Every time we had
The memories made
Will never go bad

For me there was something
I just couldn’t explain
And now it hurts me so much
You are forced with such pain

Everything I wanted
Was what you had
The perfect life
Now perfectly sad…

Now a week has passed away
Since the passing of your pain
Bringing you a brand new life
Eternally perfect to remain

My eyes swell up with tears
When I think about your life
And every second cut too short
For your friends, family and wife

You lived your life so perfect
With a warm glow around your heart
A kindness that shown right through
Making friends never seem apart

And if age wasn’t measured by time
But by the time people spent living
You would have lived forever
As the man that kept on giving [comments] => 1 [counter] => 164 [topic] => 16 [informant] => xsitm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry )
