a million poems

Contributed by pUnKa_RaCh on Sunday, 17th April 2005 @ 06:07:34 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

All the poetry I write
Every word filled with desperation
Is dedicated to you my dear one
You are my inspiration
The ink smudges from the tears
While I desperately try to rhyme
And capture my loss with words
I’m sure I fail each time
It’s been a while now

But my heart refuses to let go
So I’ll keep writing about you
Even though you’ll never know
That I could pen a million poems
And even then I couldn’t portray
How painful it is remembering you
While trying to endure each day

Thank goodness . . . the heart will mend itself. Love always heals rips and tares, with it’s tears. Cruel? Maybe . . . but, necessary for survival.

You need not let go of the love you still feel for that special person . . . only the pain of your present situation. Who knows what the new day brings?

A very good poem that tugs at the heart. Congratulations.

John
