Strife's Slave

Sleeping then creeping
while falling and crawling
t'ward all you hold dear
beneath all that you fear.
In this binding cold darkness
with its lonely harsh starkness
they turn sinister smiles
corn'ring you with their guile.
And fight as you may,
you'll ne'er once reach the day
where you have a free life-
you're owned by your strife...
