i close my eyes and pray
Dear Father will there be love for me so day
i want someone special to love
i want him blessed by you above
someone who loves you as much as i do
someone whos heart is true
someone who can make me smile inside out
whos heart is mine without doubt
i want him to love me unconditionally for life
and if its your will i want to be his wife
i want to finally have someone of my own
im so tired father of being alone
im tired of giving my heart
and always having it torn apart
i want a someone committed to love like me
not someone ,not ready
not some who just wants to stay
until someone else comes his way
i want someone to share my heart and soul
someone in which i can lose control
someone who isnt still loving just for fun
someone whos heart where i will be number one
someone who listens and who really hears
and understands all my wierd fears
someone who can understand how voiceful i can be
and willing to accept me for me
someone who will talk when we dont agree
someone who will listen to me
someone i can be free with always and forever
someone whos ties i will never sever
so Father here is what i wish for in a man
but only if he is blessed and chosen by your hand
and Father up above
let him know i offer 100% unconditional love
but you know my heart and soul
you know all the qualities i havent told
amen

Good Lord. Wow a checklist it reads like a self made Man by woman. Interesting that there were no mentions of flaw. In order to get all of the above you must have a flaw to assist him with.- In order to bring out the cherished qualities. Interesting read.

LOL, I have to say this leaves a lot for a man to live up to. Good luck with that, or as Dr. Phil would put it "How's that workin' out for ya?"
The poem as a work is well written. As to the subject I have to say it is extremely well for lack of my insomniac mind's vobulary's better word, stupid! How off settling! If you indeed ask for all of these, you shall recieve little to none. Welcome to real life, where we fall in love with people not because of our own standards but because of what makes them unique, often times referred to as flaws. Yes there are good things that make us fall, but what keeps the heart fluttering is those things that are not perfect. As a man, I find your poem insulting. Though, as I said before as a poem it is well written.
Keep your standards high, but look to stoop beneath and love the grime, and the diirt sometimes. Nothing wrong with bearing your standards, just dont make it so upper echelon. Besides if you fall in love with someone who maintains your standards, do you dare maintain their's. And if you do doesn't that make your love for one another really the love for yourselves first? How boring is that?!
