[bodytext] => Where the owls nest, I recalled the breaking. With the bitter taste of pride dissolving. A gunners view, I look upon the place.. Where I dug for hours for spiritual gold. God forbid she ever weeps again. I can no longer climb into the green canopy, To escape my demons, and talk to angels. That sacred pine, thrives, but is dead in my mind. Now I watch something breath for you. The lift of your chest, perfectly timed. No dirt under your fingernails. No twigs hanging in your dry curls. Not the man that staggered happily, Stomping through streams to reach that place. Where you buried your legacy, And plotted the downfall, of once precious things. Still you dig into my mind, from your deadly sleep, you insert the guilt. You pull the memories I've blocked for years, into this harsh florescent light. God only knows what pulled me here, to fall to my knees and pray for your life. And to pray once more, as the white coats look on, that if you wake, I'll have the strength to forgive.
