[hometext] => This poem is regarding Harrison Bergeron. It was an english assignment but my friends liked t so i decided to get your opinions.
[bodytext] => Steel On Steel and Rock On Rock, The dog barks and the infant cries. There is no time to think or feel or to even care. There is time only to hear. The incessant chatter of squirrels, of breaking bones. Murder, suffering. But there is no time to investigate. For it has been 20 seconds. A tear runs down my cheek, but I do not know why I am crying. I know nothing, except the sound of crashing cars and ambulance sirens. Sirens that should be saving parting the red sea of cars to save innocent lives. But lives are lost, ever 20 seconds. No time to think, no time to remember. For in my head a steam engine's whistle blows. Marking the caboose of my train of thought. For it has been 20 seconds [comments] => 1 [counter] => 170 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Kitty-Katt89 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
