Array ( [sid] => 90959 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => PDD Boy [time] => 2005-04-14 17:06:30 [hometext] => its sad and true, for many, they just pier into my life in this text, its my every second for life [bodytext] =>
PDD boy
with something i dont care for
he doesnt look different
but dont judge the book by its cover
PDD boy acts normal sometimes
he doesnt appear to act strange
so why treat him differently

he has a form of autism that is bearly recognised?
nah, he's just talking **** to cover his ass
he's just been lazy
never living up to his potential
dont give me that about his brain grows differently
he looks just like anybody else

when the world seems a strange an sad place
that world lives forever in PDD boys heart
it cries out to a black canvass
but can never be heard in the real world
it would wale and scream for years
but ever blind eye wouldnt turn

he has friends, whats he on about
hes not autistic
they are too weird to have friends
hes just a thick liar that will never go anywhere
why should i stick myself out for him
what has he ever really done for me?

he is there when your sad
but when he is in tears, your away having the time of your life
you have a girlfriend, and everybodies favourite person
but he just sits and forces small talk because he doesnt have the same mental cognition that 99% of people do
your the great speaker and adherantly smart
but he mumbles and does your dirty work every time you ask him

hes gone down a road, and theres no turning back
he has born with an unknown and un advertised syndrome which he will take to the death
something, a little gift for his chrilden to be spoiled with in their lives
but he is still expected to act as normal as every body else
when all the time, he puts his brave face on the adversity, and work his way up
only to be stopped and force him to start again
he is still expected to smile
he is still expected to work
he is still expected to act like everyone else
he still expected to do something about it when he doesnt know whats gone wrong
afterall
its only PDD boy
he just makes up his aspergers syndrome up

This was a very sad and tragic poem Roan. In this world lacking love in every corner we simply cannot be different! It's scary to the Norm, or so they call themselves. But who really is Norm? And what is Norm? Those are the questions that simply cannot be answered. This PDD Boy that you speak of is accepted in my heart and soul. I know what it is to be different, 'tis not easy, but be true to yourself..........and to heck with everybody else. Great courage write!
Warm love
