Wise beyond his years
He knows more than anyone.

He will go through the day pretending,
that he knows next to nothing.
At night he unleashes his brain.

His plot to control the world!
The thoughts in his head swirl,
The child falls asleep.

Three years later, too shy to show,
Every bit of information he knows,
(He decides to help the world instead)

But nothing goes right, though he tries,
He can't stop the angry cries,
He fears not being wanted alive.

No one understands his intentions,
so he tries to stop his thoughts.
He doesn't want the wisdom anymore.

He wants to please his family,
To be adored by the world,
But he is always told he cannot

What a sad write. I left the reader kinda empty, how sad that things turn that way on occassion. The words you used "angry cries" and "please his family" are human emotions.
The ending will on day read this perhap
That this young man has tackled it all
And look at him now
He's walking TALL. :-)

I think it's quite accurate observation.
Many of us would feel something alike.
The first disappointment, the first ecounter with the real world... A nice piece of poetry!

I usally prefer poetry that speaks in first person, but this poem worked as a piece describing what appears to be the author's feelings without using the words 'I' or 'me.' A very interesting, emotional read.
