You seem to seek the love of others
That was never given by your mother.
You are so full of your self delusional lies
That you're empty of everything else inside.

You've been so lost and confused
That you think you're born to lose.
You were born for so much more,
But you won't get up off the floor.

Your bruises get more discolored
As your face loses all of its color.
Your wrists still bleed the infection
Of hate and loveless affection.

You start to push everyone away
Hoping they'll still care for another day
When they never did in the first place.
Your lies that were so serrated
Finally made their love fade. [comments] => 9 [counter] => 154 [topic] => 6 [informant] => essentially9 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 17 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

In a sense our childhood is the baggage that we carry or cut loose when we become adults. But sometimes the fall out comes from something that began as a vine and chokes out what could be or could have been.

Lies come from insecurity and anger is a result of being hurt. It is all intertwined and it is sad.

Until a person makes the decision to change in a positive way, what can you really do?

Just rambling aloud. I really enjoyed the point and context of your poem.

Kie

lol it's kind of funny, I don't think I should have read this one right now, only because your writes simply seem to amplify emotions. Personally, I may be able to relate to this one too easily, and I can so understand the plight of your write. This is such a strong way of tackling the subject matter, focusing on common life situations and imagery to get your point across. It was done with a sense of force and skill that you make look too easy. Sad write, hopefully life can kind of jerk people to the polar opposite of these emotions sometimes, just as a reminder to their existence.

That was a great poem! I can sortof relate to that. I wanna be loved. It seems some days everyone just ignores me though, and don't even like me, except for my bf. I'm an only child so it's always lonely in this house on weekdays when my parents work at nights. I rarely ever lie though. I'm friendly and I like to be honest with my friends. That's how you gain trust and good treatment from them in the future... I can too feel the strong emotion of the poem. I love it. Jenny
