A passage, down and out
Confused rocks, side to side
The salty air, breathed deep
No food, clothing, or sleep
One stands guard
The other rests and reads
Gathering leaves for warmth
Eerie screams, haunt
Preying hungry beasts
Not a moment of peace

Climbing towering tress
Bark tumbling, down down
A woodpecker speaks
Echoed in his hole, down and out
On a branch, lovebirds kiss
A squirrel dances and twists
Balancing act to keep afloat
If we fall, this here is all I wrote

Higher, up and up
Don’t look down, pass out
The sky bursts through
In the clouds, a reflection of you
Shouting, in your red gown
Stop, go back down, down
Where the trickling first began
The Big Bang?
The divine master plan?

A slow trickle, down, down
A passage, down and out
Confused rocks, side to side
The salty air, breathed deep
No food, clothing, or sleep
One stands guard
The other rests and reads

Oh my, if this wasn't written in the depths of lost love hell, I don't know what was : O
Very lonely and abstract piece, with loads of imagery throughout. A down and out sad and emotive write...
