From misery and pain I want to be
free and ridden
I refrain from searching way too deep
The problems too high the sins too steep
Future holds the door open to uncertainty
Fear screeches out ever so faintly
My mind is full of calamity and despair
As temptation reeks havoc my soul is snared
I'm a slave to burning desires
Lustfully hanging on passion I dire
Save me from this reckless shame
I no longer want to play this mind game
As I struggle deep within myself I find
Burning sensations still play deep in my mind
One question I'd like to ask
Do you too have dark secrets you try and mask? [comments] => 5 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 43 [informant] => mina-1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Nice portrayal of avoidance.
How often we try to submerge
that pain deep within.
Fear of openning up those old wounds
thinking thye might never heal if we do.

Thumbs up.
