Array ( [sid] => 90269 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Dark Corner [time] => 2005-04-07 19:38:52 [hometext] => This may not fall under the topic of grief and tragic poetry in your eyes. But this is about how the world is obscene and stupid...so, it is a tragedy, my friend. [bodytext] => My mind is hollow
My water is shallow
I sit here in my isolated grave
If we call can learn to behave
We all seem too small in our little worlds full of obscenity
While I’m in the corner, suffering from insanity

I wonder if God can hear my cries for forgiveness over all the noise
Under his watchful eye, you’re just a small toy
Like a robot programmed to only live and breed
And, like an animal, pass on your seed

Can’t you see you’re killing us all?
Before you know it, you’ll rule then you’ll fall
And we’ll see who comes tumbling down
With your face deep in the muddy ground
Tell us who’ll wear the crown

Maybe we can find peace in this mass chaos
And maybe we can survive this mass loss
All I have to loose now is my mind
And all you have to loose is all of mankind

In your position things like this should be the norm
But you act like you’ve never seen war, hidden in your dorm
Are you too weak to head on, face the storm?
Maybe you should’ve took your change at the calm
Instead of wait to unleash this hate from your palm
With you to lead us out of temptation, God save us
And take pity on us

Can’t you see you’re killing us all?
Before you know it, you’ll rule then you’ll fall
And we’ll see who comes tumbling down
With your face deep in the muddy ground

God gives us the peace that passeth all Earthly understanding but still we weep for a Nation that has run amuck.
Great writing.

If it weren't for pain, death, and tragedy, we
wouldn't appreciate happiness. Nice write.
