I choose this

I sit here every day
Just watching the world pass me by
Wondering why things happen the way they do
Wasting away here in this place
Like I have nothing to live for
Every day it's the same story
Go to school
Come back home
Stay couped up in my room all day
Don't talk to any of my so called "friends"
I don't feel sorry for myself
I choose to do this
I could call my friends
Hang out with them
Listen to them talk about little problems
Act like I care
But I don't
And it's my choice
I know it is
I know I could change everything about my life in an instance
I choose not to though
Being here everyday really sucks
But being out there
Where everyone is so fake
And no one can say what they're feeling
So instead they just talk about meaningless ********
That's not my idea of a good time
I'd rather be here with myself
Then out there
With everyone pretending to be something they're not
Something they'll never be
Because they can't come to terms with who they really are
I choose this
