I waited for you

Contributed by Drowning_Dreams on Thursday, 7th April 2005 @ 10:41:48 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I waited,
Wondering where you were.
There I was,
standing in the darkened corner.

I waited,
All the while wishing.
Wishing I could hold you once more.
Longing for the love you once showed me.

I waited,
here I sit.
Never knowing your love.
I long for your heart.

I waited,
I will wait longer.
For as long as you wish,
As long as you truly care for me.

I waited,
I cannot forget you.
You are always in my mind,
Though you are not always with me.

I love you...
Therefore I wait.

Probably my favorite of all of your poems, I've had that feeling before. It's hard to stop looking over your shoulders, thinking that they will be their for you, when deep down inside you know it isn't so. I hope you waitings not in vain.

Ah waiting.. I could likely write forever on this one. I believe we all feel a kinship to this one.

But waiting takes its toll and the mind has a way of moving memories around like forgotten chess pieces.

I felt immersed when reading this poem. It was very realistic and the images easily subjected in my mind.

This was my favorite "I waited,
I cannot forget you.
You are always in my mind,
Though you are not always with me"
