This flower of joy and light
Wasn't the words she said
That she was, hung my head

A gentle being of kindness and caring
Seemingly endless in loving, in sharing
Blue does not become you, my dear
My words and wishes fail so, I fear

How may I replace that dismal gray
And return your smile of yesterday
What must I do, where do I look
To give back that which unkind hurt took

Sweet lady, tell me how to assist
That your pain will cease and desist
I'll hold you in my arms day and night
If that would help to keep you right

Dare I touch your heart so sweet
To banish all sadness complete
All that I have is this flowery song
To show that this blue is wrong [comments] => 4 [counter] => 153 [topic] => 48 [informant] => reprobate [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Maybe in time if you can bring down the wall and never desert her or hurt her, she would love to be held in your arms. Maybe you could even share a candy bar????? Maybe someday? Maybe she is not sad, just afraid to open up to another dream that might fail. You write lovely words, CandyMan.

Michael,
Your words are soothing and gentle. These last lines were so wonderful....

"Dare I touch your heart so sweet
To banish all sadness complete
All that I have is this flowery song
To show that this blue is wrong"

Hmmm I know I treasure the songs you sing, my friend. You've a wonderful heart.
Peace, love and hugs,
Me
