Array ( [sid] => 90010 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => In the Time it Takes to Breathe [time] => 2005-04-05 17:37:40 [hometext] => This poem was written about a month after my boyfriend broke up with me four months ago. Oddly enough, I haven't moved on as much as I'd have liked to. [bodytext] => In the time it takes for you to breath
One sweet solitary breath of air
I've said your name one hundred times
And reminded myself that you're not there
To hear my desperate lonely cries

In the time it would have taken you to hear
The words "I love you" cross my humbled lips
I've breathed one too many times, cried one too many tears
And remembered too often your warm embrace,
Your precious kiss

In the time it took you to say we're through,
My heart was crushed one hundred times,
But sure enough, I'm over you.
My heart continues to emphasize
That in the time it takes to breath your name,
I've already moved on another day.
