Whispering things about my life, Whispering things about me
Beyond boundaries you can not cross, you can not see....If you did...you would never believe.
Where I hold my secrets in the depths of my fear
Tomorrow's breath is uncertain and you could always disappear.
Bound, indeed, and inside out...Nobody could understand or let me out.

A backward reflection is what you believe,
it's warped and the laughs are not a true picture of me.
The door closing on a seemingly average day, is only the beginning of the hell that I bleed.
Those things you couldn't possibly know, but assume
Random, foolish thoughts on a lazy afternoon...
You lean in closer, waiting for my insides to come out...

All of my contempt and doubt, it builds up in the night
Under pressure, knowing it soon will erupt in selfish delight
It takes on a life of its own, waiting for me to give in
Patiently it waits, tempting an explosion
Each day that passes becomes a little more clear
The fire is getting closer and I know that day is near

Crossing the line, a bridge if I must, I
shatter that reflection and return it to dust
The shadow that followed me around for so long, waiting
smiled in relief for no more anticipating
Together relaxed and takes a breath
After all that waiting, it's put to rest

And you look at me like you always knew
Still whispering,
But you no longer assume.

With my eyes, I apologize, and you reply "Me, too" [comments] => 4 [counter] => 226 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Red_October [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I have been too long away from your poetry ... I am quite awed. I was drawn in by a comment you left elsewhere ... and I do see remarkable similarities as well. The word choises and the lines in wich they were used ... just amazing ... and remarkably coincidental.

Twilight zone, indeed, Tiffany! I'm utterly speechless. It's been hours since I first read this after picking up your comment on mine... and still... I haven't any idea what to say here. You'll understand, I'm certain, why I can't look at this objectively.

I expected something similar... but this... this is just... mind boggling.

Completely freaked,
