Array ( [sid] => 89833 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => At Rest [time] => 2005-04-04 12:33:53 [hometext] => I have begun healing, but still have a long way to go... [bodytext] => My mind is finally having a rest,
Soon it’ll be functional & back to its best,
Too long has it been battered,
Now it’s trying to piece together all the tatters.

Thoughts no longer whiz around my head,
But my thinking is now more rational instead,
I know the healing process has only just begun,
& that my race has not yet been run.

I will face my demons once & for all,
Maybe it won’t hurt as much when I fall,
My mind has suffered in my short years,
& it has felt every single falling tear.

I tried to battle on alone for too long,
Feeling isolated, like I didn’t belong,
Mind was trapped in an emotional tornado,
Torment & torture crept over me so slow.

I have taken the vital first steps,
It’ll be a long time before my mind can forget,
All the hurt & pain it has been through,
Maybe now at rest my mind won’t feel so blue.

Your poems get better and better, hun. Everytime I read them.
I love the tornado part, if it wasn't so sad.

Great write sweetie,
*hugs* Phil
