Grief

Are we noble to despair
When bloodshed around does not care
Equality, knows no sorrow
Sun set will not claim tomorrow
Bladed treetops slit the sky
Blood leaks from the clouds shy eye
How far distance can we go
Pre-tend laughs are dipped in woe
Show me not, your secret side
If I go deeper even more you hide
To your soul the keyhole will show
Deception padlocks the world we know
When we’re gone will time elapse
The inner four walls loathe collapse
Engagement with remorse, immoral foe
Ring of bereavement wrapped with a bow
Close the curtains on yourself
Armor fractured by deteriorating health
Lungs stop breathing, heavier air
Decomposing flesh remains spoiling there
Withered shadow takes pill shaped polo
The departure arrives, flying solo
Leave misery behind, cleansed of sin
We waste our coins calling next of kin
