[title] => Painful Memories

[hometext] => I wrote this for english class in response to a poem about WWI written by a soldier who thought generals were in the army at no risk and they didn't understand what soldiers went through.
[bodytext] => So simple to remember, All the sadness and the pain, I just want to forget, So hard to stay sane, To drown out the memories, Of everything lost, For you, there was no harm For you, there was no cost The cost was the lives Of many young men So many wounded, Many more dead So do not tell us how proud you are Of what we faced, Until you are able to understand, That which our minds cannot erase. You say you care , But you are careless at heart. For you are the one, Who tore it apart.
