[hometext] => Well...my wife and I sat down and printed up all the poems I have written...I couldnt believe it, I had written 65 poems in the last 4 months. I guess the next thing I need to do, is figure out how to get them published. Well here is another one, one of my first. I hope everyone likes it too. Someone suggested that I write more than 4 line stanzas, however that is the format I like and I think I will stick to it. Thank you for the suggestion though. Maybe one day Ill do something different.
[bodytext] => I sat alone at night,
Staring at the stars. All I could think about, Was this relationship of ours. I thanked my lucky star above, For you are in my life. I even got down on my knees, And thanked God you’re my wife. I wondered if your having fun, Or if you’re feeling sad. I thought about you coming home, And that made me really glad. I pictured your smiling face, Within my lonely mind. I thought about what we would do, When together we entwined. I wondered why I felt lonely, When I had you in my heart. I realized I’m never alone, Even we when have to part. I thought about many things, While staring at the sky. Like how I could show to you, That I love your beautiful eyes. Perhaps I could find a way, To explain the chills I get. Or maybe I could tell to you, How you hand and mine perfectly fit. As long as you and I are one, The world is at our feet. For you are my one and true soulmate, You are the reason I am complete. I went to bed that night, With my thoughts of only you. Somewhere in the night I had a dream, It was about how our love grew. I hope you take this poem to heart, And the feelings that lay within. For when you get back to our home, We will start our love again.
