like i'm going back to prison
that city suffocates me
too many things to look back on
too much grief
for one city
can't forget the memories
the screaming, the fighting
our clothes in garbage bags
ready to go at a moment's notice
to get away from the abuse
anger, hate, and put-downs
from someone who 'cared'
freezing winters
wrapped up in the floor
with our tiny space heater
waking during a storm
to wipe the water from my arms
and roll over to find a dry spot to sleep
our screaming neighbors
some 'friends' they were
cussing, stalking, accusing

I'm sorry you had so much trouble, kailadragon.
But at least you let out your upsetnesses in your poetry. I think you did great on this poem.
I sincerely hope you find happiness as your life goes on.
