My heart and prayers go out to you. For these people each day is a struggle within itself. [bodytext] => I'm sitting on the park bench
Soaking in the breath taking views
When suddenly a thought becomes illustrious
Blurring my vision of the mews
Possessed by this inner voice
That dwells within my head
Overtaking my fragile mind
Practically devours it leaving it dead
It talks to me of imperfection
Of what people think of my woes
It speaks of self infliction
To rid myself of my foes
I try so hard to escape
This trance like state that I'm in
But the voice just burdens me
Saying that erasing it would be a sin
The voice speaks of sorrow
Telling me nobody really cares
That why should I awaken tomorrow
When a love like this noone could share
My hands embrace my head
As I suffer with so much pain
I'm slowly edging towards insanity
Too much emotion to sustain
Walkers by stare as if I'm crazy
As I talk and shout to myself
They can't see the torture
I'm enduring in my own hell
I desperately need to overcome this
I need to supress this voice of hate
Rid myself of this voice
That keeps me in this state
Where is my sanity?
The peaceful mind I once
Before this mental illness, Psychosis
Drives me to the verge of going mad
I fight battles within my head
I try and shake off all this spate
As I sit wearily on the park bench
Crying over my sad, but true fate

Lovely honest and well done. My perspective is that of close person who deals with the fall out - but you descirbed the truth of it well.

Thanks for this

It was a great read...you gotta keep your head up though...If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything...meaning you gotta take charge of your life. Be happy with what life has given you so far, you got prolific talent. Use that talent to make yourself express the thoughts of the inner oasis you dream about. ; )

In a perfect world there would be no illness of any sort. I often wish I could make every type of pain, vanish.

When I think of how many people out there are battling with demons that I cannot fathom, I feel helpless.

Very moving poem.

Kie (Who finds you tend to make her cry)
