that fell like last night's dew drop
the birds are waking up
and massing in a throng
The sweet perfume of grass
tells me that spring is near
I look for it always
as windsong do I hear

Night to day and day to night
I wonder wandering through the night
in dreams of tempest winter blast
frozen oh my heart of song
return to me my summers dream
return to me l long

I wake up after dreamless sleep
my promises to fail or keep
I stare into the light arrayed
in bright cyans like tapestries
and all of this does give me hope
that winters frost when passed away
will break the winter of my heart
and love will return just like spring

Day to night and night to day
billowy wisps shape clouds of grey
changing light grey skies to blue
bringing to me summer's hue

I'm lost with in the winter's blight
subjugated to this quest
a lonely ebbing scouring plight
freezes my soul unto it's depths
oh softened heart of summer's youth
that helped me to change dark to light
let strength of it return to me
oh let me run, show you are nigh.

Ringing death of winter's ghost
I behest your audience
on your foul air I wrest and choke
I must escape your ambiance
I feel so old yet I am young
aged by blizzards you have sent
trials that freeze my broken heart
I withdral into my den

night to day and day to night
I wonder wandering through the night
in dreams of tempest wintery blast
my soul is often left aghast
O,re the rough of darkened sky
a little blue does show its sign
Ice and snow will melt away
ending the scorch of winter [comments] => 4 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 14 [informant] => Archie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DreamsandWishes )

Wow. This is certainly a composition. I am not a fan of long poems, but I sense you had all this to say, and darn it, why skimp on the fullness.

Nice job.,
mj
