From his tower, he gathers feathers and binds them with wax, verily flying with his newly-wrought wings. Reckless Icarus, seeing this, seeks to imitate: and fails. [bodytext] => My vice is freefall.
And I am neither free nor falling. My vice
is freefall, which is different from the falling,

or from an enamorment of the fall:
I did not (nor could I) know it as

I fell--but only in afterfall, could I know my vice
by name--more than the sum of freedom and falling,

it's weightlessness, what draws me.
My vice is freefall.

But it's weightlessness, what draws me. My vice
is freefall, which does not
preclude a fear of falling,

or the seeking
of Earth's encradlement: I've more of Daedalus

in me than of his son--more content am I
to construct my wings and fly with them

(albeit only fleetingly) than to try
and touch the sun, what burns them.

the story of Icarus is a fascinating glimpse of human nature, that of he, and of his father.

You took an interesting veiw here, I thought the concept was well done, but the work was too repetitive and I found myself losing concentration and skipping over what are meaningful thoughts.

I have looked over a few of your things and find you imaginative, but a bit obscure. This one was better than others.

How clever a comparision, and this

My vice
is freefall, which is different from the falling

The distinction is marvelous. And the sun what burns them -

You have a wonderful wasy of incorporating things common to all of us, and exposing them in new ways.

Nice job.

A sophisticated and complex introspective piece. Verse 4 could be cut and the piece would be tighter and flow more smoothly. Still, a classy post, from a fellow Icarus poster.
