Array ( [sid] => 89195 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => She Shot Him Down [time] => 2005-03-29 14:25:50 [hometext] => Well I just wrote this one. The style is sort of different than what I'm used to and I'm not sure how it turned out. Right now it's just something I had to write because things never make sense. [bodytext] => I watched her break his heart last year
When she told him he wasn't good enough
Before she went after his best friend.
I watched her laugh at him when he didn't understand
Because that's what you do when someone loves you.
You lead them on and then ruin them.

Yesterday she apologized
And he believed her right away
I told him not to be foolish
But he had been waiting for her all of this time.
He told her that he loved her
But she said she wasn't sure.
He promised her the world and everything she wanted
Because even though she shot him down
He couldn't picture life without her.

Yesterday he called me
He told me things were never fair.
She finally wanted him
And he was finally hers.
He told me that he was sorry.
Then he hung up the phone.
Because when you're actually wanted
Someone has to be left alone.

hola, i have an idea and have posted it on the forum. so you are the poem next to mine. I like your theme, but the poetics need work, maybe we should call it prose in the intro. i will think on this.

I liked it. It might need a little bit more of a flow, but I thought it was very good.

very nice. this happens to the best of us, but do you know what sucks? is that after you have been played like a fool, you close up and the heart that once beat now has a flatline
