[hometext] => I wrote this one long day while at work...I hope all those who have worked at a convenience store feel my pain and think as well as I do that once the day was over you could find humor in it all.
[bodytext] => The boundary that keeps me from freedom is a glass door that opens and closes when people come in to make me do more for them. They say, “I need this! I want that! How much is it? What can I buy for a dollar?” My feet hurt and my head hurts but I face them all with a smile and say, “HAVE A NICE DAY!!!” The clock ticks slower and slower as my shift passes by and I say to myself, “the next person to walk the ‘the Boundary’ and walk over my freshly swept and mopped floor will suffer the wrath of an angry and tired convenience store worker.” But instead I smile and say, “It’s ok. I’ll spot mop. HAVE A NICE DAY!!!” Now that my shift is over, I think maybe my day wasn’t so bad.
