The silence extends
Inevitably to an end.
The connection is broken,
And wounds are open.

Hollow and alone,
And the fault's my own.
Shallow and cold
With my soul sold.

My heart was given and shattered.
Nothing matters
When the passion for life ends
For it to only become pretense.

Never love what's lost at any cost,
Because it takes your soul away
To leave pain in its place. [comments] => 12 [counter] => 189 [topic] => 48 [informant] => essentially9 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 17 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

And you say I'm better at titles?
Sheeesh. lol. Your title drew me right in, and I found a fantastic poem waiting.
I love this hun, if only it didnt sound quite like sadness. This is definatly heartwrenching, and I can relate as can others, obviously.

"The silence extends
Inevitably to an end.
The connection is broken,
And wounds are open."

I wish there was something I could say about this..

Great write hun,
Phil
