I must begin this journey
I must believe in something
I must believe in it all

I have to trust in someone
I have to start again
I can't stop living my life
Ignoring all that I had

Realizing my independence
Regretting ever having it
I have to depend on someone
So why not it be you?

Copper shields and senseless walls
I've covered up my face
I've disregarded what I once held true
For such a common mistake

You speak open
I shut out
I think inward
You think aloud

It used to be vice versa
But I guess we've switched our roles
I've had so many awful conceptions
Of owning an opinionated soul

But now I've learned my lesson
I've learned it all too well
That even nobodies have someone
