[bodytext] => She walks down the avenues of Manhattan, Her steps equal the beats of her heart. The clicking of her heels mirror the gentle pulse of a waltz, Filling the air, On this night, In 1985. She roams the lamp lit streets Searching for one called Madeline. As the pigeons fly overhead, She sees the numbered streets Count from first to third. Ahead of her, on the corner, Is a tiny shop of great repute. The tinkling bell as she enters the door; And staring back at her, A sight to shock her own identity: A porcelain complexion, Eyes of tigerlillys, with Sparkles a hue of sienna, Surrounded by bright amber. A nose like a well crafted button And lips a pink bow. In this crowded city, In this small shop, On this night in Manhattan She has found what she was searching for. Discovered in a looking glass, The one called Madeline.
